OHS seniors Connor Langer and Dakota Froehlich were honored as part of Senior Day for the conference as senior bowlers on all teams were recognized.

 

The OHS Bowling team hosted a South Central Conference contest on Saturday at Spare Time Entertainment.  

The theme for the day was “Strike Out Hunger” with donations accepted for the Steele County Food Shelf.  Additional nonperishable food donations can be dropped off at Spare Time Entertainment or at Cabela’s on Saturday November 8th.

The OHS Varsity squared off against Mankato West in the first match of the day, losing by a close series score of 268 to West’s 279.  In the second match OHS won the first four games and tied the 5th game in a series win over Albert Lea. Owatonna had 3 additional teams in the competition Saturday, the Blue JV, Silver JV and a Junior JV team. The OHS Varsity rolled an outstanding average score of 203 for their 10 games bowled on Saturday. 

The Huskies will roll at the South Central Conference Tournament next Saturday at the WOW Zone in Mankato.   Currently the OHS varsity team sits 10th in the state rankings with a season average score of 186.51.  The Owatonna Blue JV team ranks 5th in the JV State rankings with a season average score of 165.07.
