The Owatonna gymnastics team has had a record-breaking season. They set the school scoring record, broke the vault mark a couple of times and won their first section title.

Friday the season culminates with the state AA meet at the Sports Pavilion at the University of Minnesota. The Huskies spent time as the No. 1-ranked team this winter. They are ranked third. No. 1 Roseville Area is the four-time defending champ. No. 2-rated St. Cloud Tech is also in the field. The Minnesota State High School League reports in a press release that Lakeville North, East Ridge, Champlin Park and Cambridge-Isanti are back from last year's field. Eden Prairie rounds out the lineup. Seven of the eight are top-10 ranked.

The Big Nine is well represented in the Class A meet, with Austin and Mankato West qualifying.

The Class A team competition begins at 11AM Friday. The AA meet is at 6PM on Friday. KRFO AM 1390 will have live updates from the Sports Pavilion during the competition.
