Owatonna High School girls golf coach Tim Hunst spoke with KRFO Radio about senior golfer Maddie Peglow qualifying for the state tournament.

Peglow grabbed the final spot for state during the section tournament in Cannon Falls on Monday. She finished strong on the second day after struggling at times during that round. It's a positive finish to the senior season for one of Owatonna's newest O-Club members. Peglow also lettered in cross country and basketball.

Peglow tees off at 1:03PM Tuesday, June 9, at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. It is a two-round tournament. Hunst says she walked the course last year with Owatonna qualifier Kenzie Soukup.

The Huskies Peter Jones tees off about 9AM on Tuesday. Jones is a four-time state qualifier and was the state runner-up two years ago as a sophomore.

Triton's entire boys golf team competes at state Tuesday and Wednesday at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.

Blooming Prairie sophomore Taylor Christianson plays at Pebble Creek in Becker, also June 9 and 10.
