The OHS girls basketball team is the defending Big Nine champ. However they graduated a number of starters and lost a player to injury over the summer.

The Huskies had a fantastic 2013-14 season. They went 17-0 in capturing a Big Nine title. Their overall record was 25-3. Owatonna beat Century & Rochester JM in the section playoffs before falling to Lakeville North in the finals.

OHS graduated six seniors off that team, including several who started multiple years: Katlin Ptacek, Kyndal Cox and Angie Farrier. Over the summer returning All Conference player Rachel Williamson suffered a knee injury that will keep her out for her junior season.

Tricia Hoffman enters her third year as the Huskies head coach:

The Huskies open their season Thanksgiving Weekend. They play at Duluth East on Friday. Then stop by Cambridge-Isanti Saturday for a 6:00 game, which can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM and on the FREE RadioPup app.

OHS opens their home schedule Tuesday December 2 vs Rochester Mayo.
