The Owatonna Foundation announces that applications are being accepted for a number of scholarships. The Foundation has made available $19,000 for students who plan on attending non-four-year programs at a technical or community college to prepare themselves for technical careers.

Applicants must have an Owatonna mailing address or have worked at an Owatonna business for at least the past two years. Applicants must also hold a GED or graduated from high school before or with the class of 2015. Scholarships will range from $500 to $3,000.

The Foundation also announces a new scholarships available for women. Two $1,500 scholarships are being funded by June and Melanie Nelson for women of diversity or single mothers who wish to return to school and pursue a technical or two-year college program.

Applications and additional information on either of the above scholarships is available at the Owatonna Foundation website.

The application due date for these scholarships is June 25, 2016.
