Owatonna Football News: Golf Tournament, Youth Camp, Website Update

The Ken Bey Football Classic Golf Tournament is July 11 at Brooktree. The annual event is a great time to enjoy a round at Brooktree Golf Course and talk about the upcoming football season with fans and OHS coaches. The forecast indicates a chance for showers or a thunderstorm with a high near 80.

The owatonnafootball.com website was just relaunched. Some parts are still under construction, but it looks to become a very informative website.

You can download the youth football camp registration form from the website. Forms are also available at the Owatonna Parks and Recreation office at West Hills. The camp runs August 3 - 6. It is open to players entering third through tenth grade. The camp will run from 5:30PM to 8PM each night. The camp instructors include current coaches and current and former players.

The high school varsity season gets off to an early start this fall. The first game for Owatonna is Saturday August 22 at defending 5A state champion Mankato West.
