Several high school football events highlight the summer calendar in Owatonna. The Ken Bey Football Classic Golf Tournament leads things off on Saturday, July 9.

The 15th annual Ken Bey golf tournament is open to Owatonna football friends and alumni with proceeds benefiting Huskies football. Sign-in begins at 9:30AM at Brooktree Golf Course with an 11AM tee off. Lunch and awards will follow. Non-golfers may join in the social activities after golfing is done.

The Owatonna team camp is July 11-14 at the Owatonna High School practice fields. It is for prospective players entering 10th through 12th grades in the fall. The week will start in helmets only and wrap up in full pads.

The annual Huskies youth football camp for players entering third through 10th grade is August 8-11 at the OHS football stadium field. This camp is non-contact and teaches the fundamentals of offense, defense and the kicking game. Individual skills, group drills and lead-up games make up the schedule, according to the event brochure. Players are divided up by age into several groups.

Tenth graders are encouraged to register for both the team camp and youth football camp.
