Football fans can be a little more prepared if they review guidelines from the Minnesota State High School League for the state semifinal games. Owatonna plays at 2PM Friday.

The Owatonna High School athletic office announced that advance sale tickets for the state semifinal game are available at the OHS main office through Thursday from 8AM to 4PM. Adult tickets are $14 and student tickets are $9 each. A student fan bus is being organized.

The Owatonna Knights of Columbus are sponsoring an adult fan bus to the game. The cost is $30 for the game ticket and bus ride. Purchase those at the KC Hall in Owatonna at 820 South Elm St. on Tuesday from 2-6PM or Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-8PM.

The news release from the high school league has a link to order tickets ahead of time. There is handling fee to have the tickets sent to you or you can have them waiting at the will-call window. A two-day Prep Bowl pass is available at the site only. They are $20 for adults and $14 for students.

All tickets are general admission. Only the lower bowl bowl will be accessible. Owatonna is the visiting team for Friday's 2PM game against Elk River. Spectators for the visiting team should sit on the north side of the stadium. That is to the left after you proceed through the entrance.

Parking options are also presented. The Legacy Entrance at the west end of the facility will be the only one open to spectators for the state football tournament.

All guests and their bags are subject to search. Bags cannot exceed 12-by-6-by-12 inches. Hand-held signs can be no larger than 18-by-24 inches. Binoculars are permitted, but not cases. You can read the full list of prohibited items on the news release.

Owatonna reached the state semifinals with a dramatic come-from-behind 28-24 win over Apple Valley on Saturday night. Unbeaten and top-ranked Elk River hammered Alexandria 60-36 to reach the game. The other Class 5A semifinal is Saturday with Mankato West playing Spring Lake Park.
