After stranding runners in scoring position in the early innings, the Huskies scored five runs in the sixth inning of their 9-4 win at Hayek Field in Albert Lea.

Senior pitcher Alec Holcomb continued a big week at the plate. He drove in Owatonna's first run on Tuesday and added a two-RBI hit in the sixth inning. Holcomb tripled in Monday's 10-5 loss at No. 5 Minnetonka. He also took the mound in Tuesday's Big Nine Conference game and got the win by working five innings and striking out seven.

Kodey Kiel got a hit in the first, advanced to third on a wild pick-off attempt and scored on Holcomb's grounder. The Tigers tied the game in the first and went ahead 2-1 in the third inning. OHS took the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth and pulled away with the five-run sixth. The Huskies added one more in the seventh and Albert Lea scored twice in the bottom of the frame.

Owatonna (2-2) plays at Rochester Century on Thursday at 5PM on KRFO AM 1390 and plays Mankato East on Friday at Siebert Field at the University of Minnesota in a 4PM doubleheader.
