Coaches Vs. Cancer and a plunge into Lake Kohlmier highlight the weekend locally. Also, the rivalry rematches in hockey between Owatonna and Faribault occur on Saturday.

FRIDAY, JAN. 30

Owatonna and NRHEG wrestling teams will be at the Panther Duals at Lakeville North. Radio coverage of the Huskies begins with round two about 5:30 p.m. on KRFO AM 1390 and on the RadioPup app.

Boys basketball includes USC at Blooming Prairie, NRHEG at Medford and Triton at Pine Island (Power 96 Radio).

Girls basketball includes Blooming Prairie at USC (Kat Kountry 105FM), Medford and NRHEG and Pine Island at Triton.

SATURDAY, JAN. 31

Owatonna High School girls basketball is hosting Coaches Vs. Cancer at 7:30 p.m. during their game against Big Nine-leading Rochester John Marshall. A number of activities will be held to raise money for a donation to the American Cancer Society. The game can be heard on KRFO AM 1390.

OHS boys basketball plays at Rochester JM at 3 p.m. on KRFO, Huskies boys hockey at Faribault is on KDHL AM 920 at 7:30 p.m. and OHS girls hockey hosts Faribault at 7 p.m. in the regular season finale.

The Special Olympics Minnesota's Polar Plunge comes to Owatonna for the first time. On-site registration begins at 11 a.m. The Owatonna Knight of Columbus will make a check presentation to Owatonna Area Special Olympics from the Smokin in Steele event last summer.
