As we close in on Halloween, there are a number of things to see and do in our area.

  • The Dodge County Lions and Triton Community Ed have teamed up to offer a free Halloween party. It will be held Friday, October 30, from 6-7:30PM at the Triton School. It's free to all families and no preregistration is required. Enter through the main elementary doors on the east side of the school. The party will be in the Triton main cafeteria.
  • Farmamerica's Haunted Corn Maze and Feed Mill will be open Halloween Day from noon to 4PM. It will also be open October 23 and 24 from 3PM until dark.
  • River Bend Nature Center offers up their Bats, Bones and Bonfires on Saturday, October 24 from 3-7pm. It will feature wagon rides, Halloween crafts, costume parades, music and more.

  • The second annual Trick or Treat Trail will be open in Owatonna on Halloween Day from 2-4PM. The trail begins at the Brooktree Golf Course parking lot and winds through Mineral Springs Park. A number of local businesses will be stationed along the trail with treats, games, a photo shoot and crafts. At the Mineral Springs Pavilion there will be free hot chocolate, the RAD Zoo and an opportunity to go on a hayride. There will also be Halloween movies at the Brooktree Clubhouse from 4-5PM. Enjoy a hot dog, chips, cookie and pop for just a dollar while enjoying the movie.
    The Owatonna Knights of Columbus will host a Halloween Party on October 31 from 3-6pm at St Mary's School Cafeteria in Owatonna. Admission is a shelf stable food item for the Steele County Food Shelf.2yooctqa
