The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism will host an awards luncheon May 11 to honor six individuals for their dedication to Owatonna tourism.

After soliciting votes from the community, the chamber will recognize six award winners for their contributions toward tourism efforts in Owatonna. The recipients are Tom Brick of Owatonna Shoe in the retail category, James "Corky" Ebeling of the parks and recreation department for events, Jerry Ganfield with the Steele County Historical Society for attraction, Vicki Lysne of the Comfort Inn for customer service, Nancy Morness with the Kernel Restaurant for eateries, and Jack Spitzack with Baymont Inn & Suites for lodging.

The May 11 Visit Owatonna Tourism Awards luncheon will be at the Steele County History Center from 11:30AM to 1PM. Those who would like to attend should contact Katie Godfrey at the chamber office at (507) 451-7970 or by email at kgodfrey@owatonna.org by May 2. Tickets are $10 and include a lasagna bar.
