For the third time in four weeks Owatonna football will face a top-10-ranked team when they go to Northfield. Triton plays at defending state champ Caledonia on Friday night.

The Huskies (1-2) play at the Raiders (3-0) Friday at 7PM. Pregame coverage on KRFO AM 1390 begins at 6:30PM. Northfield enters the Associated Press rankings at No. 10 this week after an impressive win over Mankato East. OHS faced No. 2-5A Mankato West in the opener and beat then-No.8-5A Rochester JM in week two.

Owatonna senior lineman Goy Tut says the Raiders will primarily run the ball. Northfield is averaging more than 300 yards per game on the ground and has completed just 13 passes in three games. When the Huskies have the ball, senior tight end Ethan Dekam expects Northfield to come with blitzes. Interviews with those two players can be heard below and during the KRFO coverage of the game.

The other Big Southeast games are Faribault at Mankato East on Power 96 radio, Rochester Mayo at New Prague, Austin at Mankato West, Rochester Century at John Marshall and Winona at Red Wing.

Blooming Prairie (2-1) hosts Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (2-1) on the Kat Kountry 105 Game of the Week. Medford (1-2) goes to Bruce Smith Field to play Bethlehem Academy (0-3) in the Battle for the Paddle trophy game. KDHL AM 920 will have the game on air and online. Triton (1-2) plays at Caledonia (3-0). NRHEG (2-1) is at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.

KRFO AM 1390 presents the high school coaches show each Saturday morning at 9AM.
