Tournament committee organizers have announced that a few openings remain for the annual Ken Bey football classic golf tournament July 8 at Brooktree Golf Course.

The 16th annual event raises money for Owatonna High School football. Former players, coaches and friends of OHS football are invited. With a few openings remaining, golfers should act quickly to get into the tournament, which usually fills up. Sign-up forms are available at Brooktree, the Owatonna Country Club, Kottke Jewelry and Harland's Tire and Auto Center.

The $85 registration cost covers 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, a gift, entry in the hole-in-one contest and prizes and drawings. The tournament is Saturday, July 8, and will begin with an 11AM shotgun start. For further information contact Marc Wiese at (507) 456-1547 or email him at mwiese60@gmail.com.

The event supports the Owatonna High School football program. It's namesake, Ken Bey, was a longtime assistant coach for OHS. The Huskies won the section championship last year and advanced to the state semifinals at U.S. Bank Stadium.
