OHS soccer players Sydney Kasper and Dexter Leer earn All State honors

Owatonna High School soccer players Sydney Kasper and Dexter Leer were named to All State teams on Sunday. 

Senior Dexter Leer was named to the All State First Team and was a Finalist for Mr. Soccer. The Huskies finished as Section 1AA runners up, behind Rochester JM. Owatonna was 12-3-2.

Senior Sydney Kasper earned a spot on the Second Team All State. The Huskies made it to the Section 1AA semifinals and was 11-5-2 on the season.

Both were at the state soccer awards banquet Sunday at River Center in St. Paul. The Mr. Soccer Award went to Connor Stevenson from East Ridge.

Three Big Nine teams are at state: the Rochester JM boys in AA, plus the Mankato West boys and Albert Lea girls in the Class A tournament.
