OHS Girls Golf: Big Nine Champs

The Owatonna High School girls golf team captured the Big Nine Conference Championship on Thursday. More local scores too!

The Huskies went 9-0 during the regular season and win the conference title with 18 points. Winona was second with 16. The girls last won the league title in 2011.

OHS boys golf finished 7th at the 22-team Brainerd Invitational. Peter Jones led the Huskies with a 73. Owatonna plays at the Big Nine Conference meet Friday in Mankato.

Huskies girls lacrosse edged Holy Angels 12-11 at OHS.

Owatonna's boys tennis individual players were eliminated from section play.

In baseball, Blooming Prairie, Medford, and Triton were all eliminated from subsection tournament play.

On the softball diamond, NRHEG topped Albert Lea in 2AA subsection action.
