Mixed martial arts is coming back to the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna on Saturday, April 18, with the O-Town Throwdown 2. 

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. The main event is Owatonna's own Travis "Diesel" Wiuff against Bellator veteran Kevin "Concrete" Asplund. Wiuff is a UFC veteran and former Owatonna Huskies wrestler.

For the latest news on events and fighters, check out the Minnesota MMA news website, www.mnmmanews.com. Mixed martial arts is a full-contact sport that combines grappling skills with striking your opponent. Fights take place inside a caged ring with the combatants on their feet or on the ground.

Local fighter Danyelle Williams will face Ron Winslow in the co-main event. Owatonna's Richard Rodriguez is in a 135-pound amateur title fight that night. Former OHS wrestler Ben Anderson is on the card, as is Owatonna's David Sellner. There will also be a female amateur title bout, featuring undefeated Jessica Fresh from Iowa. The night will include 20 fights.

Tickets start at $30 and are available from participating fighters or online though www.cagetix.com.

Last year's event drew about 2,000 people to the Four Seasons Centre.
