Music of Furia Coming to Faribault on AM Minnesota 1-5-2015

The ensemble Furia will perform this Friday evening at the Paradise Center For The Arts in downtown Faribault.  The ensemble includes Northfield's Meredith Fierke (vocals,guitar,banjo) and Steve Mckinstrey (B3, pump organ) and Schuyler Petersen (mandola, guitar, banjo).  We'll visit with them about their music described by the City Pages as the crafting of "unexpected combinations of color and counterpoint.  Soaring vocal melodies and intricate instrumentation, reminiscent of 19th century art music."  Tune in 9:30am and be entertained and informed.
