A series of Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshops will be offered in Owatonna starting Thursday, July 7. These classes are for anyone with a chronic disease. Diseases may include diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, depression, heart disease, anxiety, fibromyalgia and others.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says lack of support for people with chronic diseases is the most common, costly and preventable of all U.S. health problems.

Some of the topics covered will include discovering easy exercises that help improve or maintain strength and energy, improve nutrition, understand new treatment choices and finding betters ways of dealing with pain and fatigue among others.

The Living Well workshops will consist of six 2.5-hour weekly sessions that will meet Thursday evenings from 5:30-8PM. The sessions will be at Koda Living Community on Northwest 30th Street in Owatonna. These workshops aren't just for older people.
