The Little Theatre of Owatonna kicks off their first play of the season this weekend. A family friendly double feature will begin the season. The Little Mermaid and The Prince followed by an intermission and then the musical How I Became a Pirate will follow. There will be 7:30PM shows on Friday, October 21, and Saturday, October 22, and also the following Friday and Saturday as well. There will be 2PM matinees on the 23rd and 30th.

The Little Mermaid is based on the popular Hans Christian Anderson story. It lasts around a half hour and the show How I Became a Pirate runs about an hour. Both shows feature smaller casts, with eight roles in The Little Mermaid and the second production has a cast of seven.

The shows are directed by Vidette Ostermeier, with musical direction by Larry Ostermeier and technical direction by Kathy Purdie.

Tickets will go on sale at the LTO box office Monday afternoon. Single-show tickets and season tickets are also available at the Little Theatre of Owatonna website.
