The Little Theater of Owatonna will mark the beginning of its 50th season by staging the play The Foreigner in October.

Auditions for The Foreigner will be Sunday, Aug. 9, and Monday, Aug. 10, starting at 6:30PM at LTO. The play set in rural Georgia will be performed Oct. 16, 17, 18, 22, 23 and 24. In a nutshell, the play is about a regular visitor to a fishing lodge who brings along a very shy friend. He tells the other guests that his guest is from a foreign land and speaks no English. He tells them this to explain his friend's incredible shyness. You should hear what this shy man hears from the lips of those guests who think he can't speak English.

There are parts for five men and two women. To get a script, call Kathy Rush at (507) 363-6720.
