My husband and I went to see Jurassic World. We are big fans of all the Jurassic Park movies, so we made a point of seeing World.

It was a great movie. It had one original character, Dr. Henry Wu played by B.D. Wong. Here is a cool note, the original Jurassic Park theme was also in the movie. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simkins were all part of the big. It was a BIG cast. Jimmy Fallon makes a guest appearance, too.

In Jurassic World, they created something new, a combo dino that is really big. Of course, I don't want to give too much away, but just a few snippets. They did make it to the first site and, boy, was that filled with vines and trees. The raptors had a big part in the movie, being trained and helping in the end. T. Rex, of course, made an appearance. Besides the combo dino, they introduced a water dinosaur.

It was good. Based on a book written by Michael Crichton, by movie director Colin Trevorrow and executive producer Steve Spielberg.

Just a side note, we went to Wells to The Flame theater. It was a bit of a drive from Ellendale, but it was a good drive. We found out that the theater has some history. The original burned in a fire of unknown cause in 1959. The Flame was one of the suggestions taken when it was decided to rebuild the theater. The history and some pictures are hanging on the wall. It's a nice place.

I am thinking about reading Michael Crichton books. He had an ankylosaur named after him in 2002, Crichtonsaurus bohlini. He died in 2008 from cancer, according to michaelcrichton.com.
