If you'd like to learn more about Owatonna's AAUW (American Association of University Women), you're invited to their fall kick off meeting on Monday, August 29, at 6:30PM in the Gainey Room at the Owatonna Public Library. Those interested in possible membership are also invited. You'll have the opportunity to meet AAUW scholarship recipients Lila Barkowak and Emily DeNio.

The AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.

Looking ahead, the AAUW of Owatonna will have their fundraising Taste of Steele County event on Thursday, September 15, from 5-7PM at the Owatonna Eagles. You'll have the opportunity to sample goodies from:

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Advance sales begin August 20 at Kottke Jewelers and from AAUW members. Proceeds benefit AAUW educational scholarships for girls and women.
