Owatonna football coach Jeff Williams says the Huskies shined on both sides of the ball and special teams in a 55-0 win over Faribault in the home opener.

 

 

OHS volleyball coach Jason Kaytor says the team has been adjusting their lineup a bit during a full week of practice since opening their season Aug. 27 with a loss to then top ranked Prior Lake.

 

 

Huskies girls tennis coach Curt Matejcek says the team is off to a solid start.

 

 

Blooming Prairie football coach Chad Gimbel says the Awesome Blossoms took off in their 24-3 win over St. Clair after getting their first touchdown.

 

 

NRHEG football coach Dan Stork called the 13-7 loss at WEM a heartbreaker.

 

 

Medford coach Jerome Johannes says the Tigers are progressing offensively, but are still looking for their first win.

 

 

Triton football coach Don Henderson was able to use everyone on his roster during a 64-6 win at Winona Cotter on Thursday.

 

 

The Paffrath Jewelers / KRFO athletes of the week included Owatonna senior running back Sam Hylle who carried 18 times for 155 yards and two scores in the Huskies 55-0 win over Faribault. OHS senior Meghan Schuler, a singles tennis player, is 6-1 on the season, including a 5-1 mark in Big Nine matches.
