Our engineer brought back footage of a pesky little weasel that's taken up residence in our transmitter building. I don't think I've seen one more than once or twice, and even then it was just a fleeting glance of one running across a road.

When my parents were first married, they rented a small farmhouse. My mother on several occasions related the fact that a weasel lived in the basement and that's where the washing machine was. She just dreaded laundry day when she'd have to be alone in the basement with that weasel running along the ledge.

We had a weasel in our transmitter building about 20 years ago. On a cold day it apparently tried to warm up by climbing into the Kat Kountry 105 transmitter. Zap! It shorted out the transmitter and we were off the air. Our engineer had fried weasel to scrape out of the transmitter.

They're fierce little creatures. They consume up to 30 percent of their weight in food each day. They can get real testy when cornered and have been said to kill and drag a creature up to 10 times their weight.

Here's your chance to see a weasel inside a building.
