Kenny Chesney's "Setting the World on Fire" video — visualizing his nostalgic new single with Pink — paints the picture of a man reminiscing of his youth and being a young couple in love.

The song comes to life during a Los Angeles summer. Sounds of the waves are heard at the video's start, and palm trees are spotted in the distance. As the music begins, billboards of the single artwork of Chesney and Pink are shown on the highway throughout L.A.

Soon, a young couple is shown on the Santa Monica Pier and at the beach enjoying a summer vacation, which in the "Setting the World on Fire" video includes staying up all night, takeout dinners at the hotel and a nighttime bonfire.

“You can’t conjure a song that captures that feeling of being on the brink like this does,” Chesney explained upon announcing the single's release. “The lyrics are a perfect way of saying it, but when you feel that melody rise, the arrangement picking up momentum — it’s bigger than you are, and all you want to do is throw yourself against the night. Then when Pink comes in, well, that just brings this [song] to life.”

The country superstar shared that the track grabbed him the moment he heard it, and he knew it was meant for his forthcoming album Cosmic Hallelujah.

“With the Spread the Love Tour in full force, I wanted a song that packs all that joy, all that fun, all the energy that love is made of," he shares. "When I heard ‘Setting the World on Fire,’ I knew it was exactly the song I’d been looking for. Like ‘Somewhere With You,’ there’s an urgency, but this one is ‘in’ the moment — and what a moment it is!”

Chesney is the first headliner announced for 2017 Country Jam Colorado next summer.
