Kelsea Ballerini's new single will be sent to radio on Wednesday morning, and if you believe the rumors and her clues, it's a song called "Legends."

Ballerini has not confirmed what her new single will be — previously she told Taste of Country it will not be a song called "Roses" — but in a clip released to Twitter, it sounds like she's singing, "Legends, we were legends."

The lyrics are drowned out by a heavy kick drum, but sonically it's similar to a performance of the song found on fan site Kelsea Central.

"We were crazy / Tragic and epic and so amazing / I’ll always wear the crown that you gave me / We will always stay lost in forever / And they’ll remember / We were legends," she sings at the chorus.

Radio show host Bobby Bones tweeted a not-too-cryptic message that most are interpreting as admittance that the Bobby Bones Show will world premiere the new single on June 7. Ballerini has talked about her upcoming album in some detail over the last year, admitting there are songs about a great breakup and songs about a new love. She's been dating singer Morgan Evans for about a year, and they plan to get married later in 2017.

It's not clear that "Legends" fits neatly in either theme. While she sings of a great love, she does so in the past tense over chords that are melancholy, despite an uptempo pop beat. Fans will be able to begin requesting "Legends" (or whatever the new single is called) from their local radio stations as soon as Wednesday morning at 7:30AM CT.

The song is the first single from Ballerini's sophomore album. Her debut album The First Time spawned four No. 1 hits and earned her a Grammy nomination for the all-genre Best New Artist. This summer she's on Lady Antebellum's You Look Good Tour, which makes a stop at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn., in August.
