Slowly but surely, the details of Keith Urban's upcoming new album are making their way out. On Thursday (March 17), the country star revealed the project's release date.

According to a press release, RipCORD is set for release on May 6.

RipCORD is almost done -- and it’s been an exhilarating journey,” Urban says. “Getting to work with so many new musicians and writers and co-producers has been a divine experience for me -- and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

A new single from the record is due out on March 29. The song's title has not been revealed, but it will have a lot to live up to: RipCORD's first two singles, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" and "Break on Me" have both hit No. 1. They were Urban's 19th and 20th, respectively, songs to do so.

A complete track listing for RipCORD has yet to be announced. The project is being released on Capitol Records.

RipCORD will be available about one month before Urban embarks on his RipCORD World Tour 2016Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris will be joining him as special guests.

“I’m seriously champing at the bit to kick off this tour,” Urban admits. “We’ll be playing a lot of new music from RipCORD, all new production, new cities where we’ve never played … and Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris? It’s gonna be potent and unbridled!!!”
