The Kat Kountry 105 Kountry Kat of the Week is Leo. He's had a rough life. Leo was found in January in a dire state as he was cold, dirty and scared. His fur was all matted and as a result he had to be shaved. His long hair should be grown back in 8-10 weeks. His foster parents say that playing back nonstop Kojak TV shows has helped him accept the lack of fur. He even thinks he's sexy and has Yul Brenner and Telly Savalas photos on his bedroom wall.

Leo is about 2-1/2 years old and is litter box trained. He plays with other cats and gets along all right with dogs. His adoption fee is $100.

Check out the other cats and dogs looking for a permanent home at the Steele County Humane Society website.

Learn more about them during their Volunteer Expo. It's Saturday, January 28, at Spare Time Entertainment in Owatonna. Hours will be 10AM to 1PM. Tables will be set up and you can also sign up to volunteer for events scheduled in 2017. Burger  baskets for $7 will be available, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Steele County Humane Society.
