The Owatonna Art Center has a lot going on in November. Their Pastimes Art sale is in progress November 5-7.

In the gallery, the Asian Brush Painters Show has opened and will remain on display through November 29. This show represents the work of 30 artists from Minnesota and Wisconsin. You're invited to a reception to meet the artists this Saturday from 1-4PM.

The Art Center will host a wine tasting on Friday the 13th. It runs from 6:30-9PM. Cash Wise Liquor will have a check list for you to take note. The evening includes hors d'oeuvres from the deli. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They're on sale now at Cash Wise Liquor, Kottke's and the Arts Center.

The next Healing Arts reception at the Owatonna Hospital is November 17 from 4:30-6PM. There will be a series of paintings done by Barbra Porwit. There will be a textile piece made by Carolyn Holliday and Kimber Olson. There will be bronze sculptures from John Idstrom along with mixed media-fashioned birds shown by Pamela Kirton. Lynette Yencho will share paintings of "man's best friend" and George Sierakowski will display paintings by nature.

At 5PM you'll have the opportunities to hear the stories of Barbra Porwit the "Everyday Superhero" painter at the library.
