The Cannon Falls Bombers extended their season with a 59-58 win over Dover-Eyota in Eyota on Thursday night. The win sets up a rematch with Byron on Tuesday in Rochester.  The two teams played for the subsection title last year in a game that had one of the more interesting finishes people have witnessed over the years. They'll play in the arena this year and in the semifinals.

The other games went according to seed. Byron beat Triton 77-54, top-seeded Rochester Lourdes dispatched Zumbrota-Mazeppa 78-42 and Pine Island downed Hayfield 62-54. The Panthers will face Lourdes at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Mayo Civic Arena and then it'll be Byron and Cannon Falls.

In the east subsection, everything went according to seed. Top-seeded Caledonia cruised by Winona Cotter 93-65, Chatfield defeated Plainview-Elgin-Millville 76-60, Lake City dominated Lewiston-Altura 62-42 and St. Charles beat Lacrescent 55-49. Caledonia meets Chatfield at 6 p.m. Monday and Lake City collides with St. Charles at 7:30 p.m. in the arena.
