Huskies Play Doubleheaders Against Top-Ranked Scarlets Thursday

Owatonna High School softball and baseball face the best in the state Thursday, each playing a doubleheader against Mankato West. Softball is at 4PM in Owatonna. Baseball at 5PM is in Mankato.

The Scarlets softball team rolls into Owatonna with a 15-0 record and top ranking in Class AAA. Owatonna is 8-6 with each of their losses by two runs or less. Action begins at 4PM at Morehouse Park. The first game will be carried on KRFO AM 1390.

OHS baseball is coming off a thrilling 1-0 victory over Albert Lea, who just beat Mankato West 9-8 last week. Owatonna is 8-4 overall. The Scarlets are 10-3 and maintain the top ranking in the state AAA poll despite their recent slump of dropping three of their past four games. The twin bill starts at 5PM at Franklin Rogers Field in Mankato. The second game of the doubleheader will be on KRFO AM 1390.

Owatonna lacrosse squares off with Northfield on Thursday. The girls host the Raiders at 7PM at the high school field. The boys play in Northfield at 6PM.
