Huskies Basketball, Hockey Results from Tuesday; Blossoms Basketball Prevails in Overtime

Owatonna basketball beat Albert Lea on Tuesday. Owatonna High School boys hockey lost 9-6 at Northfield. The OHS girls lost 4-2 to Austin. Blooming Prairie's basketball teams both won in overtime.

Owatonna girls basketball won at Albert Lea on Tuesday 64-33. Sydney Schultz led the way with 19. Jenna Zeman scored 17. Maddie Seykora added eight. The Huskies play at Red Wing on Friday at 7:30PM on Kat Kountry 105FM.

The Owatonna boys basketball squad dominated the Tigers 83-55. OHS hosts No. 2AAA Red Wing at 7:30PM on KRFO AM 1390.

The Huskies boys hockey team lost 9-6 at Northfield despite outshooting the Raiders 49-25. Owatonna scored midway through the first period. Northfield evened the game late in the first and took the lead for good early in the second period. No lead seemed safe enough as Owatonna rallied from a 4-1 deficit to within 4-3 in the second period. Northfield pulled out to a 7-3 advantage early in the third, but OHS rallied to within 7-6 before the Raiders put the final touches on the victory. The Huskies travel to Rochester Century on Thursday at 7:30PM.

Austin defeated the Huskies girls hockey team 4-2 Tuesday. OHS plays at Farmington on Thursday at 7PM.

Blooming Prairie's basketball teams both scored overtime wins over Faribault Bethlehem Academy on Tuesday. The boys won 62-60 on Jake Ressler's winning shot. The BP girls came out on top 42-40 with Heather Ahrens delivering the winning basket.
