The Owatonna Blades will once again be getting ready for another exciting season of junior hockey. Host homes or "billet" homes are needed for the players. I finally decided to check into what this billet word is. It's a word that referred to the housing of soldiers in private homes.

Billet families are needed to provide a bedroom and meal options for a player or players for about six months. The players are required to hold a job in town unless they are still in high school or taking college courses. Billet families will be compensated $300 a month to offset the cost of food and lodging. They also will receive season tickets to all Blades home games.
