The Owatonna High School football team will again conduct a cancer fundraising night, teaming up this year with Twin Cities broadcaster and cancer survivor Randy Shaver. The Huskies' "Tackle Cancer" night is Friday, October 12 when they host Northfield. Owatonna held a "Sack Cancer" night the last couple of years.

Fans can order a t-shirt through order forms at Owatonna schools or at The Hat Chic store in downtown Owatonna. Go to the Huskies' football website for more details and an online order form. Orders are due by Friday, October 5 for delivery by the 11th.

Shirts cost $10 for youth through adult XL and are $15 for larger sizes. Students will also get a chance to order shirts during lunch periods Thursday and Friday, October 4-5. Proceeds will benefit the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.

That October 12 game will also be Owatonna Foundation Night at the OHS football field as they celebrate their 60th anniversary. Fareway Meat and Grocery is also holding a pregame picnic at their store that day to make up for the event that was postponed by the severe weather during homecoming week.
