Two teams will punch their tickets in Owatonna on Thursday night for Xcel Energy Center and the state girls hockey tournament. Games are at 5PM and 7PM.

Section 1AA: No. 1 seed Lakeville South vs No. 2 Dodge County, 5PM

Dodge County (16-8-3) is in the Section 1AA title game for the third time in the past four years, but is still seeking its first championship. Lakeville South (19-5-2) beat Lakeville North in last year's title game. The Wildcats lost to North in 2013 and 2014. Dodge County is led by Bella Wagner with more than 50 points and future Gopher and Ms. Hockey semifinalist Katie Robinson. The Cougars are on a 10-game winning streak and have a finalist for the Senior Goalie of the Year award with Chloe Crosby.

Section 1A: No. 1 Northfield vs No. 3 Owatonna, 7PM, Kat Kountry 105FM

Owatonna (19-8) had to come from behind in their quarterfinal game against Waseca but never trailed against defending section champ Red Wing in the semifinals. Northfield (18-9) pulled away from Winona in the first round and allowed the first goal against Austin but came back for a 2-1 victory. The Huskies topped the Raiders 2-1 during the regular season. Northfield scored early in the first period but Owatonna controlled play most of the game and outshot them 36-19.

Raiders goalie Mallory Tidona had a .926 saves percentage during the regular season and 1.73 goal against average. The Raiders have a balanced scoring attack with their top scorer at 25 points. Owatonna is led by Jessica "Betty" VonRuden with 55 points on 40 goals and 15 assists. Goalie Laura Ebeling has a 2.12 goals against and .885 saves percentage.

Winners of Thursday's games advance to the state tournament in St. Paul.
