It's been raining a lot the past couple of weeks. And your car or truck is looking a little on the dirty and sad and depressed side. Is that what's got you down?

Saturday, September 10, you can head to the Owatonna Eagles Club and get that car or truck smiling by getting it washed and then you will smile for two reasons. You will have a shiny, clean vehicle and you will be helping in the fight against Alzheimer's.

So bring your car and $7 to the Eagles parking lot, 141 E. Rose St., Owatonna, between 11AM and 3PM.

All proceeds will support Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer's claims more than 85,000 lives per year. And there is new evidence that the number may actually be closer to 500,000. And the numbers are expected to go up as baby boomers get older.

So why not spend a few dollars, get a clean car and work toward maybe being able to save your own life or the life of a family member some day.
