Faribault Head Coach Lance Walsten told Power 96 in our Tom's Lock and Key pregame interview his Falcons need to do a better job at the free throw line, and boy did they ever Tuesday night. Faribault was 10 of 13 from the line in overtime, which sealed a 55-51 win over Rochester Century in Rochester. However, free throws missed are the reason Faribault was in overtime. They were two of seven in the second half after going six of seven in the first half.

The Panthers came out on fire to start the game, jumping to a 8-0 lead early, and led by 23-17 at the half. Faribault was more aggressive attacking the basket in the second half. Junior Winfield Hunter had all eight of his points in the second half and overtime, and sophomore Kade Hart led the way with 19 points. They were named the Faribault State Farm Insurance Agents Faribault players of the game. Senior Danny Ehlers tallied all of his eight points in the second half. Faribault's bench outscored Rochester Century's 16-10.

The Falcons are now 8-10 overall and 5-10 in the Big Nine and the Panthers fell to 2-16 overall and 1-13 in the league. Faribault had 20 turnovers in the game while Century collected 15. The Falcons host Mankato East on Thursday night while Century hosts John Marshall.

The sign below was seen on a door heading down the hallway toward the gym at Century High School. I had to chuckle. A couple of the teachers told me they didn't want people dribbling balls in the hallway, which made me wonder why they didn't simply make a sign saying no dribbling balls in the hallway instead of this one.

                                                       Really?
