The Faribault High School Activities office announced today pending school board approval that former Falcon player Eric Hildebrandt has agreed to be the next Head Coach for boys basketball.  Hildebrandt takes over for Fred Miller who resigned following the conclusion of last season.  The 2007 Faribault High School graduate played at Bethel University and was the Head Coach for boys basketball at Faribault Bethlehem Academy the past two seasons.

Hildebrandt compiled a 31-24 record in those years with the Cardinals and previously served as an assistant coach at Faribault High School for three seasons.  Hildebrandt said, "I look forward to and am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Faribault Public Schools through the game of basketball."

Activities Director Keith Badger said Hildebrandt demonstrated his ability to lead the basketball program through the interview process. "Eric possesses the skills, expereience, and commitment to lead our basketball program in a positive direction.  His emphasis on building relationships with all stakeholders will help our program grow."

Hildebrandt graduated from Bethel in 2012 with a Bachelors in Social Studies. He completed his Masters in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in 2017.

Coach Hildebrandt presently teaches social studies at Faribault High School.
