Rising country star Tegan Marie covered Faith Hill's mega-hit, "This Kiss," as part of the Forever Country Cover Series that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards in 2016.

The rising star just turned 13 on Oct. 25, making her the youngest country artist who is a member of the Country Music Association. She belts out Hill's hit — which took home CMA Song of the Year honors in 1999 — in the video above, premiering exclusively on Taste of Country. She makes the song her own with a stripped-down arrangement that features acoustic guitar, mandolin and light percussion, putting her strong voice and performance out front.

"It’s such an honor to be the youngest CMA member and to be able to contribute to the 50th Anniversary is just the sprinkles on my cupcake!" Marie says. "I look up to Faith Hill and all the other females in country music. 'This Kiss' is very special!"

The Flint, Mich., native has received widespread attention for a number of covers she has posted online, including a rendition of Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y." that made them "misty-eyed." She made her national television debut in August by singing "Lucky Me" on Good Morning America, and also performed at the CMA Music Festival in June of 2016. She sang the national anthem before the U.S. Women's Soccer team's final home game prior to the Olympics, and has opened for Hunter Hayes and Cassadee Pope.

Marie will also perform at the Country Flo festival on Nov. 4 in Florida, as well as the America Salutes You concert on Nov. 12 in Chicago.

The Forever Country Cover Series features a wide range of artists re-interpreting past classic hits that have won Song or Single of the Year. Those tributes will continue during the 2016 CMA Awards broadcast, which will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 2.
