Local high school football teams will head off to scrimmages on Saturday as the countdown to the season openers continues. Some teams open their season Friday!

Owatonna (13-0 & state champs in 2013) will be at Lakeville South, scrimmaging the Cougars, Woodbury and Champlin Park. Action begins at 9:00. The Huskies begin their season at Winona on Thursday August 28. Action will be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM.

Blooming Prairie (10-1 & section runner-up in 2013) will be at Maple River. The Blossoms open their season at home vs Mankato Loyola Friday August 29.

NRHEG (5-4 in 2013) travels to Byron. The Panthers play at Sibley East on Friday August 29. The game can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM.

Medford (6-4 in 2013) will be at Tri-City United in Montgomery. The Tigers will host Mound Westonka Friday August 29 in their opener.

Triton (8-2 & Southern Football Alliance White Division champs in 2013) goes to Henry Sibley. The Cobras open their season Thursday August 28 vs Kasson Mantorville. There will be a brief dedication of the new turf field in Dodge Center. The game can be heard on Power 96 radio.
