The University of Minnesota Extension is offering a couple of courses for those who need to meet the educational requirements for Certified Food Managers.

The ServSafe class includes information about safe food preparation, handling, sanitation and prevention of food-borne illnesses. This class will be Thursday, March 24, at the Greater Mankato Business Development Center from 9AM to 4:30PM.

Certified Food Managers need four hours of continuing education credits within three years of becoming certified. A class titled Serve It Up Safely will be Thursday, March 24, as well. Hours for this class will be 9AM to 1PM. This class will also be at the Greater Mankato Business Development Center.

Registration for either class is required by March 10. These classes are also available online.
