Summer might be winding down, but there are still several great local activities and events to come to cap off the season and turn the page back to school time. VisitOwatonna.org offers up several ideas, including an under-the-radar choice or two.

Crazy Days wraps up Saturday after numerous fun events including alligator petting, a performance by the Owatonna High School Carolers, and a dunk tank, in addition to the downtown businesses holding sales over the three days.

The Owatonna Arts Center holds its "Art on the Hills" event and art sale Saturday, July 28 from 10 am to 5 pm. Sunday's hours are 10 am to 4 pm.

Owatonna MainStreet is hosting its inaugural "Downtown Thursday" on August 2 from 4 - 8:30 pm.

MainStreet will alsohost a historic walking tour of downtown Saturday, August 18. Meet at Central Park near the fountain at 10 am. There is no cost and you don't need to preregister.

Anyone who hasn't seen the murals inside Wells Fargo bank downtown should step into their facility during regular hours and take in the artwork. The building was designed by great American architect Louis Sullivan.

The 11@7 Concert Series continues for two more weeks. DeKam and Johnson perform Thursday, August 2 and Cabin of Love and Friends take the Central Park stage on Thursday, August 9.
