Below is information provided on the River Bend Nature Center Faribault website about on of the most unique nature centers I've seen in terms of diversity in landscape.

"Discover nearly 750 acres of forest, prairies, river and ponds with ten miles of hiking and biking trails; five miles of cross-country skiing; an observation deck; and "Windows on the Wild" back yard bird habitat in a year-round Interpretive Center. Public programs and events offered year round. River Bend is part of the "Big Woods". River Bend Nature Center is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is "to help people discover, enjoy, understand, and preserve the incredible natural world that surrounds us."
