The Faribault Farmer's Market is having their 4th annual Family Day this Saturday in Central Park.  Family Day hours will be from 9:00 a.m. until Noon.  The Farmer's Market is open from 7:00 a.m. until Noon.  Russ Bauer manages the local market with his wife Donna and Josh Ramaker from Rice County Public Health were guests on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program.

Family Day includes a number of special activities aimed mostly at kids.  There are carrot and pea characters kids love to take selfies with.  All kids over the age of 2 receive $2 in Allina Health Bucks to spend at the market.  There will be face painting and other activities for the kids.  Animals will also be part of the day.  It has been confirmed a cow will be there and possibly other animals.

Some of the vendors will have food samplings and there will be some giveaways too.

Joining as partners for the day are the University of Minnesota Extension/4-H, Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce, Rice County Health Department SHIP Program, Graise Farm, Allina Health, Rice County C&TC, City of Faribault, The Virtues Project, Faribault Public Schools, Ruf Acres Market, Buckham Library, Northfield Hospital and Clinics, Be Your Best Yoga and Jennie-O Turkey Store in Faribault.
