Fair Talk Debuts on KRFO

Steele County Free Fair Manager Jim Gleason was Todd Hale's first guest on Fair Talk this summer. The program will air each Thursday at 9:35AM on AM1390 right up to the week before the fair.

Gleason pointed out that there are still a few openings for vendors in the 4 Seasons Centre. Just contact the fair office to get details.

As was announced earlier this spring, the Steele County Fair will be like many others across the county in that there will be no poultry in an effort to curtail the avian flu.

Also new this year at the fair will be the introduction of designated smoking areas. They will be at the following locations:

• West of the Fair Office
• Outside of the Beer Garden
• North of the Swine Barn
• Campgrounds
• South of the Foundation Building

Dates for this year's fair are the latest they can be, Aug. 18-23.
