The Huskies have won three straight games since their loss to Faribault. They seem to have the top seed in the section wrapped up. OHS is at New Prague on Friday at 7PM.

The Trojans focus their offensive attack on their ground game. They average 153 yards per game on the ground and just 65 through the air. Owatonna senior Jaden Dowhaniuk told KRFO radio that he will be playing closer to the line of scrimmage almost as a line backer rather than in the defensive secondary.

Senior defensive lineman Cole Bergeman has been part of rotation that has included Goy Tut, Chandler Buckhalter, Cam Elmore, Kadyn Mulert and even Griffin Thorn. Bergeman appreciates the coaches giving him playing time after he worked very hard in the off season in order to contribute during his senior season.

The week three loss at Faribault has been mentioned by several players as a wake-up call for the team.

The Huskies have wins over Northfield and Rochester Mayo, who are the other two teams with a 4-2 record. After going to New Prague (1-5), Owatonna plays at Rochester Century (2-4) on Wednesday, October 19, for the regular season finale.

New Prague has been held to seven points or less three times this season. On the other hand they had their high point total of the season of 25 points against Northfield and were close with Mayo into the fourth quarter.
