Sad news in the music industry, Prince has died at age 57. It is said he was not feeling well and canceled concerts, then resting at home.

Prince was very popular in the 1980s and still popular. I remember being at a slumber party and I think a couple of us were listening to his CD. For some reason, we burst out laughing during "When Doves Cry." It was something about that song, I don't remember what. That is a good memory for me.

"Purple Rain" and "Raspberry Beret" are cool songs too. Maybe a little strange I did not see his movie "Purple Rain."

I remember Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman, Vivian, was singing "Kiss," another song I like. Her line after being interrupted, "Don't ya just love Prince?" Tom Jones also sang the song.

I never did see Prince in concert except on TV at the Super Bowl, with rain and more rain, which was good.

He did change his name at one time to a symbol. It was a little weird but that's OK. We still called him "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince." He did eventually go back to being known as Prince.

I remember Prince wearing purple and more purple and heels. He was 5-foot-2.

What sad news. Sorry to see ya go, Prince Rogers Nelson.
