Dodge County residents are invited to a public meeting in regards to the discovery of the emerald ash borer in the county. The meeting will take place on Monday, October 3, at the Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School in Kasson. The meeting will run from 6:30-8PM.

There will be experts from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, University of Minnesota and other state and federal agencies. The public will have an opportunity to provide input on the adoption of a formal EAB quarantine of Dodge County and also ask questions. The quarantine limits the movement of ash trees and limbs and hardwood firewood out of the county. The public can offer comments to the MDA through October 21 with plans to adopt the quarantine on October 24.  Comments may be made at the meeting or sent to::
