The Crisis Resource Center of Steele County will be holding its 14th annual "Healing the Hearts of Our Children" luncheon on Tuesday, March 31, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Owatonna Country Club in Owatonna.

A brief program will be by Shelli Arneson, MS, Human Services Instructor/Department Coordinator of the Rochester Community and Technical College. Arneson will share her personal story of childhood abuse, alcoholism and recovery.

The Crisis Resource Center (CRC) has set a goal of $15,000. Last year, the Abused Children's Program provided 4,895 services to 779 children with 508 new cases and 271 ongoing cases. State funding is no longer available.

Luncheon tickets are $25, call 451-1202 for more information. If you would like to donate but are unable to attend the luncheon, donations can be dropped off at the Crisis Resource Center, 125 W. Front St. in Owatonna. Their office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Mission of the Crisis Resource Center is to provide support and confidential services to individuals affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. CRC is also committed to reducing the incidence of domestic abuse and sexual violence by providing education to all members of the communities we serve.
